Re: AAPI Community & All other communities
….In May of 2017 (during the Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month) I released one of my very first video on AriZenMovie.com, encouraging Asians/Asian Americans to be proud of who you are and to never shy away from that...that message hasn't changed and it will never change.....It's vital to focus on being the best you that you can be and i'm really talking to all communities because at the end of the day, that's what makes each and everyone of us unique, am i right? I love when people are just themselves and not trying to assimilate or be who they're not because of certain pressures they face............................" - Song Cun
RE: AriZen (Original Short Film)
".......for those who have been keeping track…..the original short film was simply to serve as a launching pad…..to help provide a first look glimpse of the protagonist in action……those who may be interested in the selection of the few others who were part of that short…..well I can assure you all that the selection had absolutely nothing to do with race, ethnicity, background, etc…but more on look & availablity…Kev for example – the guy who played one of the two males in the alley scene (he was the one with the mask on) – originally I had him in mind to play a security guard at a restuarant across the street, but decided to scrap that part when the guy who was suppose to play the role Kev ended up playing said he couldn’t make it….and so – with the short amount of time we had to film this……ultimately the alley scene was more important to the story…. so the restaurant scene was cut and Kev ended up playing one of the two males in the alley scene…..............” - Song Cun
***For those who are wondering about the original short, it's been shelved and we WILL NOT be showing it here or anywhere else, why? We do not want anyone misinterpreting the short to be about some sort of race thing because it's not and never was intended to be about race. It was simply to introduce a character, plain and simple....To add on to the statements above regarding the villain characters played in the short, the original individual who was suppose to play the character Kev ended up playing wasn't even black so let's be clear on that. The ACTIONS of the villains in the short regardless of race, ethnicity, background, etc....would have resulted in the same actions by the protagonist let's also be very clear on that as well. Anyways, there wil be so much more details if and when we can get some of the 'TIMELINE' rolling, all the pieces will start to fall into place and things will make a lot more sense, but we are still waiting
